Born in Illinois to a graphic novel author and an English teacher, he dreams of becoming a scientist while spending much time as possible creating comics and illustrations. Everyday life and favorite things like books, wildlife, movies and music greatly influence his creative vocabulary, channeling into his work hopes, fears, joy, desires and frustrations. His favorite animal is the chameleon; he has a passion for inventions, loves the winter season and chicken wings. Phoenix’s art reflects a puerility of aspirations and exuberance. He’s ecstatic about sharing his journey and progress with the world and hopes you enjoy it, too. He currently lives somewhere in the Midwest, among hawks, snakes and coyotes.
